The
first step of education is to have one's eyes opened and be turned from
darkness to light. (Acts 26:18)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Welcome to the Salt and Light Institute. We are a non denominational, non sectarian institute dedicated to providing foundational education opportunities consistent with God's Word to the church community, their pastoral and leadership staff, laity, homeschool educators and their students; all levels of government employees to include executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government; local and municipal personnel, educators and students in primary and secondary schools/universities, tea party and grass roots groups, non-profit and advocacy organizations, and the general public.
To be Salt and Light in today's secular landscape requires much more than church membership or dedicated bible study. One must study history, civics, economics, and all manner of theologies. We strive to offer programs of study that will enrich the students foundational understanding of what it means to be Salt and Light to the world.

Legislature for Dummies with Susan Lynn
Please join us for the acclaimed Legislation 101 and 102 classes formerly presented by the Tennessee Tea Party. These classes are essential if you desire to work as a citizen activist or if you just want to understand the workings of the legislature and how bills are crafted and become law.

The Salt and Light Institute is an individual initiative of the Black Robe Regiment. We are a 501 c3 non profit educational entity dedicated to providing essential education on a myriad of topics. Our campus is located in the Embassy Center at 612 W. Due West Ave. in Madison, TN 37115. Although we share a common location, the Salt and Light Institute is not affiliated with the Embassy Institute, Institute of Basic Life Principals, Accelerated Christian Education, or Bill Gothard Ministries. The Salt and Light Institute is embarking on a bold initiative and we need your help and support. It is our hope to assemble a team of educators and topical experts to provide enlightening education in regards to the Christian experience in today's secular society. Our churches and faith leaders have failed to shepherd their flocks and to lead us in a manner consistent with God's Word. Our government seeks to diminish the precepts of Christian values that our founders enshrined in our Constitution. The delicate balance of power that makes our republic work has been corrupted by an out of control executive branch and an activist judiciary. Our educators are indoctrinating our youth in progressivism and a culture of entitlement. Our seminary and theological universities are churning out a new generation of faith leaders who no longer believe in core biblical principals. Our military is being castrated and our country's once great stature of being the steward of freedom and liberty for a troubled world is dying. We have become enslaved by political correctness and failed economics. Now more than ever we need the Christian community to awaken and arise. Please help us in our mission to educate, motivate, and activate the faith community into its proper biblical role in society and as guardians of culture and guardians on the wall.
